Iraqi Minister for Foreign Affairs from Tehran: Security of Iran and Iraq  is intrinsically bound up to Security of the region

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, on Wednesday, said that the security of Iran and Iraq was bound up to the security of the region, and he hoped that the Iranian-Saudi talks hosted by Baghdad would become public.

Fouad Hussein arrived in Tehran on an official visit at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart, Hussein Emir Abdullahi. Hussein was accompanied by the National Security Adviser Kassem al-Amhari. “We are ready for intensive talks with Iran on security issues and their handling by diplomatic means,” said Fouad Hissène during a press conference with Abdoulaye, adding “Iran’s security and Iraq are bound up to the security of the region.” “His country hopes that the Iranian-Saudi talks which will be held behind closed doors be make public,” noting that “a secure situation in Yemen and Syria, and the unstable situation in Syria negatively affects the status of Iraq.” This is the first visit of a high-level Iraqi delegation to Tehran since the Iranian Revolutionary Guards shelled Arbil governorate, the capital of the Kurdistan region of the Kurdistan region, north of Iraq after missile attacks.

Iran renews its refusal to recognize the Taliban Government

the Iranian Foreign Minister renewed his country’s refusal to recognize the Taliban government in Afghanistan, which took control of the country in mid-August. During the press conference, he said, “We will recognize the governing body for Afghanistan only if a comprehensive government is formed in Afghanistan,” stating that  “what happened before the Iranian embassy and its consulate in Afghanistan was unfortunate and the Kabul authorities have  expressed its disapproval of these attacks.”
