An F-18/A fighter Aircraft Crashes Into the Mediterranean Sea.

The Sixth Navy People’s Fleet Command reported that an F-18/A fighter jet from the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman crashed into the Mediterranean Sea owing to intense thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.

The Sixth Navy People’s Fleet Command issued the following statement: “A Super Hornet F/A-18 fighter jet crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman on July 8 due to intense thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.”
In an unforeseen event, a sailor sustained a minor injury.
Due to the extreme weather, a sailor sustained minor injuries in the collision.

Since December, the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman has been conducting military training in the Mediterranean with 4,800 fighter pilots on board.
