International Baghdad Dialogue Conference 2023: world figures in Iraq to Foster Cultural Exchange and Diplomacy” With the theme “Iraq: 20 years… What’s next

Baghdad, Iraq – The eagerly awaited International Baghdad Dialogue Conference is set to commence on March 19, 2023, in the heart of the capital city, at the Babel Hotel. Over the course of two days, the conference will bring together distinguished scholars, experts, and leaders from across the globe to engage in discussions on the latest developments in international relations, security studies, understanding the reality of the Iraqi economy and economic development, to know the reality and the future that awaits it.

With the theme “Iraq: 20 years… What’s next” the conference aims to promote mutual understanding, facilitate constructive dialogue, and strengthen cooperation for Iraqis’ future. The conference will serve as a platform for delegates to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore new avenues for collaboration in various fields, including politics, economics, education, and cultural exchange.

As the conference draws closer, participants have begun to arrive in the capital, Baghdad. Notable among them is Dr. Catherine Harvey, from the Center for Security Studies (CSS) at Georgetown University, who was the first to arrive and visited the University of Baghdad to tour the classrooms.

Also in attendance is Roger Peterson, a prominent professor in the Department of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who has visited several universities in the city. Professor Hassan Abbas, Professor of International Relations at the Near East and South Asia Center for Strategic Studies at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., arrived in the city of Najaf and has visited a number of cultural and intellectual centers.

The Fifth International Baghdad Dialogue Conference promises to be an unparalleled gathering of intellectual and political leaders, fostering a spirit of cooperation and collaboration in the pursuit of mutual progress and prosperity.
