Fifth Baghdad International Dialog Conference kicks off
The fifth edition of the Baghdad Dialog Conference, organized by the Iraqi Institute for Dialog under the title (Iraq: 20 years..).
The conference will last for two days with the participation of dozens of political, security and economic figures from inside and outside Iraq.
The conference began with the Iraqi national anthem, followed by a speech by the president of the Iraqi Institute, Abbas Radhi Al-Ameri, and a speech by Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani.
And then began a dialog session entitled “Resilience to the storm: Iraq and climate change”, followed by a session entitled “Beyond oil. Iraq's Energy Needs," and an evening session entitled "Factors to Improve the Investment Environment in Iraq."
And the second day of the conference tomorrow, Monday, will witness "an open meeting with the Prime Minister for an hour and a half," followed by a dialog session entitled "Governance and the fight against corruption," and then a session entitled "Freedom of expression and the role of social media," and then the sessions will conclude with a dialog "The banking system in Iraq," and the ministers of oil, communications, labor and social affairs and the governor of the Central Bank will participate in the sessions during the conference.
