Prime Minister during an open meeting at the Baghdad International Dialog Conference: The government has priorities that meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people
Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani said on Monday that his government has priorities that reflect the aspirations of the Iraqi people to help achieve their well-being and provide services.
And the speech of Mr. Al-Sudani came during an open dialog of the activities of the second day of the activities of the Baghdad International Dialog Conference in its fifth edition with the participants in this conference, and the political meeting was moderated by Mr. Yazan Mashaan Al-Jubouri.
"The sixth post-change government went through difficult circumstances and was a clear reluctance of citizens from the elections, and it is possible to restore trust between the citizen and the government by providing services and projects that touch their lives," al-Sudani said.
And he added, "There are aspirations for the people, and it was through government change. We have a realistic program that can be changed and that contributes to restoring the body of this trust, and this is an important factor, even if the clearest picture of the elections is trust."
He also pointed out that the government is working to address poverty, unemployment and poor services and economic conditions through a series of programs and projects in all provinces, stressing that "the challenge is not economic or security, but the strength of the political system and its relationship with the street and we are working to restore people's confidence in the political situation."
Regarding international affairs, the Prime Minister stressed that "the government welcomed the Saudi-Iranian agreement and we have been a factor in restoring relations between the two countries. This agreement will have a reflection on the stability and security of Iraq and the region, and will promote development, partnerships and mutual interests."
And he explained, "I informed yesterday Iranian National Security Advisor Ali Shamkhani during his visit to Baghdad to support and promote the agreement and to host any future meetings between Iran and Saudi Arabia."
And revealed Mr. Al-Sudani a visit he will make tomorrow, Tuesday, to the Turkish capital, Ankara, and said "this visit comes within the principle of relations with neighboring countries, and Turkey has promising economic interests and opportunities in Iraq," noting that "we must have a real will in the fight against corruption and there will be no protection for any corruption whatever his position or position."
"Water scarcity, pollution and environmental problems are an existential and serious threat, and the government is working to address them as part of a plan with neighboring countries," al-Sudani said.
