Dr. Salim al-Jubouri, speaker of the Iraqi parliament, stressed the importance of overcoming the scourge of terrorism and corruption in order to achieve development in Iraq.

And said al-Jubouri in his speech during the conference that "terrorism has led during the past 15 years to stop the wheel of development and development and stop the process of human development, but the ability of Iraqis with their solidarity was able to victory over terrorism and the terrorist organization Daash," noting that "the other scourge that threatens us as threatened by terrorism and hinders the development movement is corruption, which we hope we can win it once and for all."

And the Speaker of the House of Representatives added that "everyone is facing a great and serious historical responsibility in proving ‏the ability of the political class to achieve a real victory in the economic field and to transfer the country's ‏economic situation from recession to renaissance and from unilateralism to pluralism to make Iraq an important partner for the major countries of the world and to take its ‏real position in development and development" urging "to shake off the dust of the battle and progress through an economic strategy vision that takes it upon itself to operate instead of employment ‏ the private sector as a supplier and supporter of the public sector and vice versa so that our graduate children do not suffer from searching for job opportunities in a country that has the most important agricultural potential in the Eastern world and one of the largest energy stores in the world."

And stressed President al-Jubouri that "the requirements of the will for change sought by our Iraqi people can not be achieved through criticism, grumbling and dissatisfaction with performance, but that this will require a revolutionary, democratic and electoral act that is completed in one hour of the day and bears fruit for four years of success or failure," noting that "the Iraqi people must determine their acceptance or rejection through the ballot boxes and to give their opinion clear, frank and not hesitant and to devote after that to obtain the gains that will be offered to them after they have made their choice."

The Speaker of the House of Representatives pointed out that "it is time for the state to take care of the interests of the Iraqi people first and foremost before any other consideration away from pivot with regional and international conflicts and work to achieve the interests of Iraq regardless of ‏personal and partisan considerations ‏for this party or that, Iraq first and the Iraqi before everything and any consideration."
