Mr. Prime Minister at the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue Conference: Iraq continues the policy of balance Neither bias nor escalation

Prime Minister Mohammed Shi'a Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of dialogue as a fundamental approach to addressing internal and regional issues, stressing the government's support for the exchange of ideas and joint cooperation in order to achieve stability and development.

During his speech at the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue, in the presence of a number of prominent political and academic figures from inside and outside Iraq, Al-Sudani pointed out that the government is aware of the magnitude of the internal and external challenges facing Iraq, stressing that maintaining a policy of balance and not aligning with any axis was a great challenge, but Iraq was able to maintain its balanced path and prevent the spread of conflicts in the region.

He also touched on the events of October 7, describing it as a pivotal moment that influenced the concepts of the right to life and existence for the Palestinian people. He emphasized that Iraq is continuing to achieve development and reconstruction despite the challenges, noting that the government was able, through dialogue, to end the mission of the international coalition and move to balanced bilateral relations.

In the context of promoting regional stability, he emphasized Iraq's success in launching and encouraging dialogues between different parties, especially the dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran, which contributed to reducing tensions and enhancing security in the region.
