The Iraqi Institute for Dialogue issues a statement on the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue

The Iraqi Institute for Dialogue issued a statement regarding the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue, which is considered one of the most prominent political and intellectual events in Iraq, which began on February 22, 2025 for two days with the participation of political, diplomatic, economic and academic figures from various countries of the world to discuss regional and international challenges and their impact on Iraq and the region.

The statement reads as follows:

In light of the challenges and transformations that Iraq and the region are going through, the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference comes to confirm Iraq's position as a center for regional and international dialogue and communication. This event has become a global platform for free discussion and exchange of ideas, including silenced issues, away from narrow political orientations or individual interests, with the aim of enriching discussions on fundamental issues of concern to the region and the world.

We at the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue emphasize that all opinions expressed and presented at the conference express the opinion of their owners only, and do not necessarily represent the opinion of the Institute or those in charge of it. Our main goal is to create an open space for dialogue, where different points of view are presented to understand how others think, without adopting any opinion or position, believing that diversity of opinion is the basis for knowledge enrichment and societal progress.

We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all the contributors and participants in the success of this event, including decision makers, academics, researchers, representatives of governmental and private institutions, and the media that played a key role in conveying the discussions to the wider public. We also express our gratitude to the Iraqi government for its continuous support for such intellectual events that enhance Iraq's role in the regional and international scene.

The Baghdad International Dialogue will remain a free platform for dialogue and interaction, bringing together different parties to discuss solutions and future visions, without any bias. We believe that dialogue is the basis of construction and progress, and we will continue our efforts to consolidate these principles, emphasizing that Iraq has been and will remain a meeting point between cultures, ideas and common aspirations.
