Chinese researcher: Baghdad Dialogue boosts Iraq's international image and deepens Asian ties

In a special statement during his participation in the Seventh Baghdad International Dialogue, Chinese researcher Yiqi Zhou said that his current visit to the Iraqi capital is his first visit to Iraq, describing Baghdad as "a very beautiful city" and expressing his great admiration for the level of the conference and the ongoing discussions.

"It was a unique opportunity to participate in this conference, where I learned a lot from the ongoing discussions, and I believe that this event can greatly improve Iraq's image at the international level," he said, noting that such events provide an opportunity for international participants from various countries to visit Iraq and learn about its true reality.

He explained: "In China, it is rare for scholars to have such an opportunity to visit Iraq, and this participation will definitely enhance my understanding of Iraq, and upon my return I will share my experience with my colleagues and friends in China, which will contribute to improving the image of Iraq in their minds."

On the prospects for economic cooperation between Iraq and Asia, the researcher said that trade relations between Iraq and China are currently "very strong," noting that there are a large number of Chinese businessmen who visit Iraq on a regular basis, many of whom were even on the same flight that brought him to Baghdad.

"As Iraq continues to promote stability and create a better investment environment, more Asian countries will show their willingness to invest in Iraq and strengthen their trade relations with the country," he said.
