The Iraqi Institute for Dialogue surprises the Swiss ambassador
Daniel Hone, Switzerland's ambassador to Baghdad, said he was inspired by the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue Conference organized by the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue.
The ambassador, who is new to Iraq, said the conference provided him with valuable information that contributes to a deeper understanding of local and regional politics.
He said the conference provided important insights into the potential for Iraq to play a more active role as a mediator in the region, reflecting a desire to enhance regional interaction and contribute to peaceful solutions.
The ambassador praised the institute's efforts in bringing together experts and politicians to exchange views and ideas, considering that such events contribute to creating an open environment for dialogue that promotes mutual understanding between different parties.
At the conclusion of his talk, Daniel Hoon expressed his gratitude for the character of IIED Director Dr. Abbas Radhi Al-Amiri, noting that he is a key leader in policy formulation, noting the important role he plays in fostering stability and prosperity in the region.
