Dr.. Hassan Abbas: Baghdad International Dialogue builds trust and shapes Iraq's future leaders

Dr. Hassan Abbas, professor of international relations at the Center for Near East and South Asia Strategic Studies (NESA), affiliated with the National Defense University in Washington, stressed the strategic importance of the Baghdad International Dialogue Conference for relations between Iraq and major countries, stressing that the value of the conference lies not only in its political content, but also in its role as a gateway for meeting minds.

Abbas explained that the conference provides a rare space that brings together experts, practitioners and scientists from multiple backgrounds, creating a rich discussion that promotes mutual understanding and builds trusting relationships over time.

He noted that the continuity of this annual dialog will be reflected in the future of international relations, as many of the participants will occupy influential positions in decision-making.

In conclusion, Dr. Abbas expressed his hope that the conference will inspire Iraqi youth to move towards intellectual and political leadership, considering that this type of initiative is what creates a generation capable of positively influencing the future of Iraq and the region.
