Iranian academic: Iraq is the gateway to regional pacification and development
Dr. Hassan Ahmadian, professor of political science at Tehran University, confirmed that Iraq is playing a growing role as a regional and international mediator by building bridges between the countries of the region and the world, which contributes to reducing tensions and promoting joint action.
In an interview with the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue on the sidelines of the seventh Baghdad International Dialogue Conference, Ahmadian noted that this balanced role places Baghdad in a pivotal position on the map of regional stability, adding that the "Development Road" project between Iraq and neighboring countries, including Iran, represents a strategic opportunity to expand economic cooperation and connect regional transportation networks.
On the scientific side, the Iranian academic stressed the importance of deepening intellectual and academic cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad, stressing that this cooperation is still below the required level, despite the urgent need to support decision-makers and develop relations between the two countries.
