Dr.. Isabella Zidan: The Baghdad Dialogue is more than a conference

Syrian researcher Dr. Isabella Zeidan confirmed that her participation in the Baghdad Dialogue Conference is an important annual intellectual milestone, noting that the importance of the conference goes beyond the presentation of research results, but rather focuses on what she described as "the development that results from dialogue and exchange of views."

In a statement from Baghdad, Zeidan said: "This year's conference comes at a very important time, as we are living through major and rapid transformations in the region, amid widespread confusion and distortion of the facts, whether in traditional media or even through social media."

She added: "When we don't find our way to the media or public platforms, we resort to think tanks and dialogue institutes like the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue, because they put us in front of reality as it is and help us know what we should do and what we should avoid."

Zeidan emphasized that her presence from Syria at the conference was not an ordinary matter, but rather an academic and intellectual necessity in this complex regional circumstance: "You cannot imagine how important my participation is today, especially in light of the cognitive confusion and information chaos in our region."
