The European Foundation for Dialogue and Development and the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue organize a seminar on "Iraqi Elections and the Mechanism for Selecting the Prime Minister"
The European Foundation for Dialogue and Development, in cooperation with the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue, is organizing the twelfth seminar of the second phase of the Iraqi National Dialogue Initiative, in the capital Baghdad from September 28 to October 1, 2025, under the title: "Iraqi elections and the mechanism for selecting the prime minister: Between constitutional text and practical application".
The symposium, which is being held as part of the twelfth round, will feature three panel discussions addressing the legal and constitutional framework for selecting the prime minister and comparing it to the practical mechanisms used since 2005 until now, with the participation of a number of experts and specialists, with the participation of a number of experts and specialists.
The first session is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., followed by a short break, a second session and a working lunch, before the symposium concludes with the third session at 4 p.m.
