The Iraqi Institute for Dialogue organizes a session on elections and the prime ministership in Baghdad under the patronage of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament
Under the patronage of H.E. the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Mohsen Mandalawi, the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue is organizing an important dialogue session entitled: "Iraqi elections and the mechanism for selecting the Prime Minister - between the constitutional text and practical application".
The event is part of the European Foundation for Dialogue and Development's Iraqi Dialogue Project, in partnership with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tomorrow Risk Management and the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue.
The session will be held at the House of Representatives - Constitutional Hall on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. It will bring together a group of experts and officials to discuss ways to strengthen the democratic process and ensure that the electoral process adheres to the laws and the Iraqi constitution.
The event aims to promote national dialog and provide a platform for serious discussion about the upcoming elections and the mechanism for selecting the prime minister, thus contributing to establishing transparency and popular confidence in government institutions.
