Iraqi Institute for Dialog participates in an elite meeting on the future of foreign relations

The Deputy Director of the Iraqi Institute for Dialog, Dr. Ali Abdul Amir Al-Kaabi, participated in the elite meeting organized by the Badr Center for Strategic Studies, with the participation of a number of academics, researchers and representatives of study and research centers, under the title "Iraq between regional transformations and pressures of international polarization: towards a new strategy for foreign relations."

The meeting was held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Baghdad, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi Al-Ameri, and his political assistant, Dr. Muhammad Naji Muhammad, to discuss the repercussions of regional and international transformations on Iraq, and the options available to decision-makers in light of the escalation of international polarization.

At the beginning of the meeting, Muhammad Naji stressed the importance of study and research centers in creating future visions, drawing policies and foreseeing challenges, as well as their role in shaping public opinion and guiding discussion on strategic issues.

The meeting witnessed the presentation of interventions and questions from representatives of research centers on the reality of Iraqi foreign relations, and ways to preserve national interests and enhance the independence of Iraqi decision.

For his part, Al-Ameri answered the questions raised, presenting his vision on current challenges, regional and international issues, and the future of Iraq's foreign relations.

The participants stressed the need for continued communication between study centers and decision makers, and to expand spaces for dialog and exchange of visions, which contributes to the development of strategic approaches based on a realistic reading of variables and preserves the interests of Iraq and its regional and international role.
