Eighth Baghdad International Dialog
The Iraqi Institute for Dialog is preparing to hold the eighth edition of the Baghdad International Dialog Conference on August 21 and 22, 2026 in the capital Baghdad, under the auspices of His Excellency the Prime Minister, with the participation of a group of political and diplomatic figures, experts and researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
The conference comes under the slogan "100 days on the formation of the ninth government: Iraq from crisis management to building strategic partnerships", in light of a pivotal stage in Iraq and the region, as it aims to highlight the course of work of the new Iraqi government during the first hundred days, evaluate its priorities and programs, as well as discuss internal and regional challenges facing the Iraqi state.
The conference represents a national and international platform for dialog on the future of Iraq, and its vision to move from the stage of dealing with crises to the stage of building sustainable strategic partnerships in the political, economic, security and development fields, in a way that enhances Iraq's regional and international position.
The conference will also discuss the prospects for enhancing regional stability and Iraq's role in building balanced relations with its Arab, regional and international surroundings, in addition to discussing development, investment, energy, security, and international cooperation, within a vision aimed at supporting the Iraqi state's path towards stability and growth.
The Baghdad International Dialog Conference is one of the most prominent platforms for strategic dialog in Iraq. It brings together officials, decision-makers, experts, and research centers annually to discuss political, security, and economic transformations in Iraq and the region, and to provide visions and solutions to common challenges.
